About
Welcome to The Inner Peace Project
A soft place to land when life feels like too much, all the time.
Who is behind The inner Peace Project?

Hi, I’m Maryam — a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), poet at heart, nervous system whisperer, and devoted dog person.
I created The Inner Peace Project for the ones who smile on the outside but are quietly spiraling inside.
For the high-achieving, heart-heavy, slightly-fried humans who’ve Googled “Why am I like this?” more times than they’d care to admit.
Here, you’re not broken. You’re just overwhelmed.
And healing doesn’t have to be harsh.
Our Vision: A Blend of Heart + Brain (Literally)
With a background in mental health, trauma-informed care, and neuroscience, I’ve spent years walking alongside people who look “fine” but feel anything but.
I’ve also been that person; buzzing with anxiety, craving quiet, trying to function through the fog.
So I created this space: A gentle corner of the internet where peace is the point, not perfection.
What You’ll Find Inside
- Calming, science-backed tools that actually work
- Honest blog posts that blend humor with healing
- Downloadable resources for anxiety, burnout & overstimulation
- Occasional poetry, dog references, and permission to rest
I believe healing can be powerful and soft, and I try to live that daily (except when I forget and overcommit, but hey, we’re all human.)
